Save the Rainforest, Eat an Iguana… Reptile Convention Supports Environmental Education April 18th.
Working with tri-state professionals, students at Lloyd Memorial High School will host the first Northern Kentucky Reptile Convention. The convention will be held at Lloyd Memorial High School in Erlanger, Kentucky, on Saturday, April 18th, 2009, from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. Admission is $5 per person with free parking.
The trade show will feature over 60 booths of animal and reptile vendors. The convention will host a conference with over 12 presentations. Students and visitors will learn about local conservation efforts and career pathways to associated fields of science including environmental science, biology, zoology and herpetology. Topics will include “Radical Roaches”, “Save the Rainforest, Eat an Iguana” and “Wildlife Photography”. Meet “Bug Man” Anthony Trimboli, NKU science professor Dr. Durtsche and Dean Allessandris, Vice President of the Greater Cincinnati Herpetological Society. Scott Braunstien of The Grant County House of Reptiles will also be on hand with live animal demonstrations. Admission covers all access entrance to the trade show and presentations.
